What is God, religion and spirituality for the poor, deprived and destitute?

Good question. Actually, all logical explanation about god religion and spirituality fail when faced with the stark truth of pain and suffering in life. I know the kind of people you mentioned dont have the very basics covered in life and at such pathetic condition in life due to many reasons, God-Religion-Spirituality does not make any sense for them. It is the need of the hour and the need for survival which is vital for such people. So forget about religion and spirituality, but God does seem to be a mere spectator to the sufferings of man.
