Will my period attract sharks?

It is quite possible that it will attrack sharks. And ir you think you are only swimming with sand sharks you are dead wrong, period or not. There are always sharks of all kinds in water 3 feet or deeper. Sharks are not concerned with the size of a group the more noise the more attraction for them. Dont worry about it they will leave you alone. In fact you have more of a chance being struck by lighting than you ever will being bitten by a shark (look it up).
