God Of War Help..?

I'm finding my self stuck in this game, im in a room where if i pull a leaver, steps come out of the water, and i climb, upto a statute of a girl, and theres a book in front of her, and when reading it, it says "Amphtrtie, Poseidon's faithful wife, will forever watch over this cursed room. Only she knows the secret way out." Im unsure of what im ment to do from there..
