One single Qestion about Vampier Diaries?

No not all will become vampires! In the books Elena goes from vampire, dies, and then cones back as some angel type thing. But the tv show dosent really follow the books. I don't think Bonnie will be a vamp. She would die first. But now that I'm thinking I won't be to shocked if everyone does turn. But then what would the show be about? Them fighting their hunger??
