What is the importance of John F Kennedy's Inaugural speech?

JFK was the youngest President elected to the office(Teddy Roosevelt was the youngest President, but he wasn't elected until 1904, when he was 46). Not only that, he won by the slimmest margin in American history at the time. The speech conveyed that he was competent enough to hold the position. As he famously remarked, "ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country."
